The strangest thing I have ever seen for sale on Amazon

I searched for toothpaste and scrolled down, then I saw this odd item. "100 pieces of Dental Temporary Crown Veneers Material..." What?
I know that DIY is all the rage these days, but I did not know that anyone was making their own dental crowns or replacements for missing teeth.
I checked the reviews to see what buyers were saying. One customer was quite happy. He or she filed a piece down to fit and cemented it in while he saves money tor a dental appointment. For a little over ten dollars, he did okay.
Others though were not happy. The pieces would work only for people with very small teeth, and, not so strangely, there are no refunds.
Have you ever tried to make your own crown or temporary tooth?

@JamesHxstatic It was a sort of a "log cabin" I have seen as our neighbor have assembled his garden house. It's not easy if you are not a professional.

This is almost creepy, but with the cost of dental care, some may need to do this!

Me too, had one done for a broken tooth last month. But if you are broke with little hope, it might be a temporary solution I guess.

@JamesHxstatic I would borrow the money, sell something, or have it pulled but I would never try to do it myself.

Maybe with no money for a dentist, it would be worth a try?

Seems like a foolish thing to do.

@JamesHxstatic in my opinion it would make me feel uncomfortable if I put a crown of teeth

My teeth are a wreck and I need to see a dentist but since I can still get by and my teeth do not bother me I can wait for a while. I would not try this because as much as I need dental work if I did something wrong and really made a mess I could wind up with double the dental work than I originally might need.

It does sound like a scary thing to attempt.

That is pretty strange but can't say I'm surprised. I don't think you'd have much success doing your own dental work

I would not think so either, could do more harm than good.
