How are you guys? It's been a long while since the last time I posted. There were many things have happened during the past few months. (I think it's been a year already) To start off, I'm now Vegan, and I'm already on my 6th month. I've decided to ditch pork, beef, chicken (my favorite by the way that I had a hard time letting go..) and even fish. Just by going Vegan, I have already lost 10kg in span of 3 months. Just so you know guys that veganism is not a diet, it's an ethical position against exploitation of animals. I know that there have been discussion already about veganism here in mylot. How many vegans do we have here?

I think, it takes a lot of discipline to be especially if you are surrounded by carnivores at home. Good to hear that you shed those extra pounds.

Thanks and Yes, it's difficult at first, but once you have decided to be a part of the solution/movement, it'll just come naturally

Sure, in the morning I usually eat oats. I put almond milk in it. (just so u know guys, I also ditched dairy, I dont drink milk nor eat cheeses, even Ice cream) banana. For lunch, I eat 1 cup of rice, swamp cabbage, tofu (for protein) vegetables, (any vegetables that's available) and fruit like ripe mango. For snacks, usually eat walnuts, almonds, and banana. I vary my foods during snack. I sometimes eat spoonful of peanut butter(for protein) and one banana. (I know guys you'll ask me where do I get my protein now That quit eating meat, I tell you guys that you dont need meat to consume protein, protein actually comes from plants! Yes, u heard that right!) I sometimes don't eat in the evening, but when I eat I just eat a little. Like a cup of rice and tofu, and chilli for dippings. Me and wifey is still in the process of learning some vegan dishes/recipes

@hereandthere a month. I'm still in the process, and everyday is a challenge. But as long as you are devoted/part of the movement of not harming any animals, you'll do your best to endure.

Good job for you. Some of my friends are vegetarians, and I envy them because they been like this for centuries now. They can cook their own food and tastes good too.

Being Vegetarian is different from being vegan. Most vegetarian still consumes/eat seafoods and fish. We technically call them "Pesticarian" Pescetarianism is the practice of following a diet that includes fish or other seafood, but not the flesh of other animals. Pescetarianism is similar to many traditional diets emphasizing fish as well as fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, seeds, edible fungi, legumes, bread etc.

@mackoy85 I know the difference, I happened to let you know that I have friends who are vegetarians. Vegans are more serious as I notice.
