Times I really hate my computer

After using the computer for as long as I have, I have come to this conclusion, although I still like a computer, I sometimes really hate some of the things about it anymore. I grew up in the era before computers were in about every household. Even after they became available to the public, the price was so high, a lot of people couldn't afford them. This was in the 80's to the 90's, around this time I started taking Business classes and had to do a lot of reports. Since I didn't own one at home and had never even used one my teacher brought me to the lab so I could use the schools computers. At this time I didn't even know how to turn one on! lol Once I was on there I was amazed, I could type my report and if I made a mistake, I didn't have to use whiteout! This is when I really started loving a computer. This is also around the time when the internet was just getting started good, before the greed took over and all the pop ups everywhere. Fast forward to today's time, this is why I sometimes hate it, because of all the add on's! Before my power went out, I wanted to see how far I was from the town the storm was at, so I went to MapQuest. I was informed that I had to download this map appliance in order to see the map. I have used MapQuest many times in the past and have never had to download anything before. So I went ahead and did the download, the trouble was, I didn't know that all this extra stuff was being downloaded also. The trouble started when I came back on MyLot, every time I came on here a video would start or another web page would pop up. I could not find out how to get it back off to save my life. I tried to delete what I thought was causing the problem , the delete button would not work on it. I finally figured I needed to reset it back to a date before the download. It took 3 times trying to reset it. The first time, I used it the power went off, when it finally came back on, I tried again. I waited till it was done and a warning came up saying it failed. Finally after trying again last night, my computer is back to normal! I am now able to move around mylot again with out all the interference!
