A picture really speaks for itself

I think we're the same in that I don't post photos of myself too :) In fact, I love taking photos but avoid being photographed. Just like you, I don't use "canned" photos and instead, use my own shots.

@sunrisefan Gosh, now I've got a shock! You saw me among the 'reactors'? The word is logical considering that there is the verb 'to react'. Yet, read how the dictionary defines 'reactor'. "A nuclear reactor, formerly known as an atomic pile, is a device used to initiate and control a self-sustained nuclear chain reaction. ... Heat from nuclear fission is passed to a working fluid (water or gas), which in turn runs through steam turbines." I wouldn't like to be seen among them. :-)

@MALUSE I generate a lot of hot air. And gas as well. Does that mean I'm among the "reactors"?

Photos easily catch my attention (especially those of nature's views and landscapes).

I can be drawn in by a nice photo, but I pay more attention to what the person has to say.

Sorry for your loss, Ms. Carol. I think we have the same passion in nature and photograph though mine is just some sort of a hobby and not really good at it :) Will be gone in a while for a long official trip but I hope to see you again :)

Her photograph could be one of the reasons. I too came across her discussion and responded. I mentioned in my responses that her discussion has generated a new discussion.

Yes, you're right about content but I guess the number of responses she got is because she's new and everybody wants to welcome her. A photo attached to a discussion draws interest to the discussion and more so if it's relevant to the discussion. Just my opinion :)
