Scary Stats

Over 6500 American soldiers were killed in foreign war from 2001 to 2012. During that same time period over 11,000 women were killed by a significant other.
This statistic made me think back to the late 70's and early 80's when I ran around with seven gals about my same age. That was my mid 20's to early 30's. At different times each of these gals told me their own stories of sexual and/or physical abuse they had experienced. I felt so badly for each of them.
It is so sad that we live in a society that has people in it that are so angry and self involved that they strike out at those who they say that they love.

I hope that they are all ok. You do hear of a lot of that and it is sad. My first husband tried to be one of those. I say tried because I would let him have it right back. I wont start a fight but I will finish it.

I've had to do some of that too. Hearing the stats really puts it in a different perspective.
