Is $1 A Lot?

It been 6 days since I am trying to raise a fund to buy a PS4. I didn't have it in mind until a friend suggested to join and I thought why not give it a try. I shared with a lot of close friend and still didn't get any positive respond.
It doesn't bother me. But I wonder if $1 is a lot. I guess it is that's why I got no one to donate.
P.S I am not promoting any fund here this is a simply curiosity question and I can already see a lot of bad comments. If I wanted to could lie about the PS4 and say it was for something else but I prefer being honest. Can't lie just to obtain money gotta my face GOD after all.
