I think we have different weaknesses and strengths. We also have differences in many aspects and I believed that every one of us has each unique characteristics. But why other people ridiculed and underestimate other people? Is it because they believed that they are more superior when it comes to talent, skills, and knowledge? If they think so, they should at least help or become an inspiration to others for their development and do not put them into embarrassment. These kinds of people perhaps considered themselves too high and honorable. They’re very proud of what they have and their achievements but forgotten to maintained proper behaviors. They’re aware of social etiquettes but lacking some essential elements of good manners especially RESPECT.

Is there any positive in underestimating/overestimating people? Wait, I'm trying to figure out.

Sometimes it becomes a habit of making fun of others because of their weaknesses.

It's very unfair Because the so called normal or gifted with above knowledge should be the first to understand.

You're right! Habitually belittling others, especially people you don't know, is always a sure sign of weakness and insecurity. And it's just not very smart, is it?

@ZedSmart I agree. That's why, when I want to have some fun stories, I make it a habit to make fun of myself, share my own failures and embarrassing moments. I couldn't afford making fun of others.

Underestimating a foe or a competitor can have fatal or dire consequences, we can never tell when a person has an ace on his or her sleeve.

@ZedSmart right, so always prepare for the unexpected, underestimating could give us a blurred picture of the truth or what we are up against

Yes. A good point in there. Because they will use their advantage against us and it might lead us to somewhere or something. Sounds unfair, right?
