Knowing and applying what my purpose in life is based on the Bible. Having a close personal relationship with God and doing God's will to the best of my ability. Knowing why the world is so messed up, and knowing that a happy, bright future lies ahead for me, my family and friends is my recipe for a happy, contented life. How about you?

It is a beautiful thing to have others look up to you for their care as a responsible and dependable person. Yet it is a weighty responsibility as well. Having others look up to you means setting a good example in word and deed. In turn love for you and mutual respect, and trust will grow. Inturn all will be happy and content especially when they see you incorporate God in your life. Those that look to your care and keeping will be encouraged by your reliance on God and they will inturn follow your example unbeknownst to you. Thank you for your sincere lovely response.

I love your answer Nicckholla. Yes following the path of God and doing the things that God ask us to do is a good recipe for having a happy and contented life. Following the path of men or humans can be likened to the blind leading the blind. However, if we follow Jehovah God's sayings and follow the perfect example of Jesus Christ to the best of our ability, things will go well for us (1st Peter 2:21).

My recipe for a happy and contented life is to change what I can for the better, don't worry about what I can't change, and have the wisdom to know the difference. Also, I want to be glad for what I have and what I can do in this life.

I think you said it perfectly! My relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ is the most important thing in my life. I love and adore my husband and kids, but Jesus comes first. I'm afraid I don't always put Him first, but I wouldn't last long in this world without Him.

For sure @1creekgirl, absolutely I agree with you. I was thinking when we are following Jesus fine example in our life, we become a better wife, a better mother, a better grandma, and a better friend to our family and friends. The way Jesus dealt with people made others feel good about themselves. Jesus was always spreading good news that gave people hope, courage and encouragement. It's truly a benefit to us and others when God's son, Jesus Christ is part of our life. @1creekgirl, we all certainly fall short many times due to imperfection and sin. Even as lovers of God we try not practice sin or the things displeasing to our heavenly Father Jehovah. Yet we are all sinners who rely on Jesus Christ Ransom Sacrifice for forgiveness of our sins. Thank goodness Vicki, we don't have to sacrifice or make atonement with bulls, sheep, rams and other animals to get forgiveness of our sins like the ancient Israelites had to do! Jesus shed blood has covered all of that . My husband and I would certainly go broke lol! My husband and I have come to realize that doing the things pleasing to God and following in the footsteps of Jesus Christ will help us to gain and maintain God's approval and blessings (MATTHEW 3:17).

I follow the Serenity Prayer: "God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, And wisdom to know the difference." I try to take a spiritual path as a co-creator in my thoughts and deeds. Then nothing really can faze us - siva

@itslikethistome I had in mind to follow the path of love that our creator has exemplified. I try to add value in my own way - being constructive than destructive. Living and letting others live is a way toward peace.

@Shiva49 Beautifully said dear heart. Yes I agree that we should let our light shine to the benefit of others. Having a Christ-like personality and living our life with application of divine law makes for peace and happiness for me as well as for others. My future looks very bright because I have placed my hope in the promises of the Bible.

@Shiva49 (25564) Yes worrying about things we cannot change only worsens a situation and contributes over a period of time, ill health in mind and body. When you say you take the path as a co-creator, please help me understand what you mean.
