Moving On?

Was chatting to some old uni friends (the good ones) about some unresponsive old uni friends who 'friended' me, but that was it.
Why I reached out to them? Because I remembered them with fond memories, how sweet they were as children, how I often listened to their worries about the future etc (I was older than that lot and often lent them my notes).
One of my very good uni friends shrugged, 'I don't bother contact any of those! If they donot response, then to me, that is that!'
(Odd, since she was in that group too, the whole bunch of them were so close at the time - they all borrowed my notes back then . Now none of them contacting each other any more, why is that I wonder .)
I am thinking of unfriend one such uni friends. Do you often do the same, unfriend friends who are not so friendly after years of you reaching out to them?

@JudyEv I am worried about that too. I did make one such mistake almost two decades ago. It was good to find an old boot, but when the old boot turned out to be a bit nasty, you begin to question yourself, 'should I just drop it?' - I did that in the end, no more contact!

i have unfriended some; one is a male elementary classmate because he was so proud, and another one who suddenly changed her attitude towards me.

@ridingbet (I am still reluctant to show any pic there, even only to my friends. I saw other friends showing pic of us in some group meetings, and just posted there to share without letting me know in advance. I have been uncomfortable and feel wary of them since.)

I haven't unfriended any of them. One of them I have played Words With Friends a few times. Sometimes people don't have or make a lot of time to post online.

Sometimes it is good to move on. If they want to reach you later, they can find you.

Let hope that they will decide to do so one day. Guess I am more sentimental than the others.

I thought about this, and found out that I use FB to reach out to people who I used to know, and sort of - want to keep in touch (a kind of a long away distance). Real friends and I don't use FB with each other, we don't even friends each other there in case certain info, photos, chats of our real life, got into wrong hands.

The problem with a specific old uni friend of mine is, he friended me, but ignored all my questions to him about others. I knew that he read it, because there was time he was right there at the same time as me, yet continuing to ignore me like this, doesn't seem to be right.

Perhaps they are embarrassed whenever they remember me? (I lent them notes & practically did all the work, they just copied to get a pass .)

No, I have never unfriended anyone, except Father. I like to see what old friends are up to, even if I don't actually interact with them. Plus, a lot of folk are on FB, but never use it.

(I don't friend my best friends on FB at all because we have our secrets to share in real life. We don't want our enemies to follow us around and know what we do. I just chatted to one very good friend a few minutes ago on the phone but checking FB, no one will never see any link between our accounts.)
