How do you say I LOVE YOU

Since my language is English, I say "I love you" but it's much more complicated than that. One can say "I love you" in so many ways but the most important thing is to be believed (and to be sure that one believes oneself, of course.) How can one ever be sure that that word, 'love', is what the other person understands it to mean? It can come in so many different flavours!
