no visitations

The other half's ex finally crossed a line with the kids. Today he went to the courthouse, police report in hand, to file for a change in custody and a revocation of her visitations. He's hoping to get court supervised visitation so the kids can still have some kind of relationship with her without being put in danger.
Without giving too many details, there is currently a warrant out for her arrest and she's been charged with 2 counts of abandonment of a child under the age of 14 and 1 count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Anyone who's been following the saga with the stepkids probably isn't too surprised by this. I'm just glad they were okay and were able to find a police officer and tell him what happened. Things could have so easily gone badly.

I had really hoped it didn't have to get this far..but apparently it did.
Supervised visitation would be the only way she be allowed anywhere near them.

I completely agree with you. I hope the court sees that as well.

@spiderdust I have a feeling it's either going to be that, or shes not going to have any contact with them at all.
I would hope that they enforce her having to get a real job, go through counseling or some sort of other treatment to even be around them as well..

@spiderdust at the minimum that should be the requirements. I think she needs psych evaluations out the Ying Yang too

@amadeo We haven't heard from them yet, although since the report is against her and not us, I'm sure we'll be okay. They may come over to talk to us, but I'm not worried about that.

We got a call from the school counselor about it, as one of the kids talked to her about the incident. She has to call CPS and report it, which I don't see as a bad thing right now.

@spiderdust The decision to let her meet her kids. Not sure that it's a good idea.

Which court decision, the current one? He's trying to get that changed. They haven't had a chance to learn about what happened yet.

I don't disagree, but that's a court decision.

The stepchildren live with us. He already has visitation in that sense. He's trying to have her visitation revoked, and with good reason.

She didn't keep them, she abandoned them in a huff after being around them for less than an hour.
