Music soothes the soul

Besides watching tv, I love music. Any time that I'm feeling down or need to relax, I like to put on music to ease my mind. It could be upbeat music like hiphop or pop. Sometimes I like to listen to elevator type music to meditate. Music can also inspire me to write. The way it flows, the sounds of the beat, or the lyrics may motivate me to even do housework. Does anyone agree &/or have a favorite type of music &/or artist that motivates &/or inspires them?

@marlina Wonderful! Classical music for motivation is different. Do you play piano or any other instruments?

I like RNB, Pop, Alternative, House and some Praise (Hillsong) music. My favorite artists would be Usher, Lany, Coldplay, Kings of Leon, Echosmith, Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran, John Legend, Tamia, Trey Songz, INOJ, Joe, Dua Lipa, Drake, and Troye Sivan to name some.

@freelancermariagrace Wow! That's a great list. I like alot of what you have listed. I don't know some but they're probably from the alternative genre. I'm not too much into that, though I'm open to listening to some. To see Tamia on your list is awesome! Tamia hasn't really been relevant in a while though I know she stills makes new music.

@freelancermariagrace Yes! I love those songs as well. There's some others I can't name at the moment. I'm not good with names of songs. Oh! I remember one now. "Stranger in my House" is definitely one of my favorites from Tamia if not the favorite

This is very true. It's really inspiring. Sometimes I prefer listening to the radio instead of those songs stored in my phone. Because you will never know what they will play next and once a song plays on the radio that you relate to, you just feel nostalgic (especially those songs you grew up listening to). You remember something that happened in your life that will make you smile or sad. It really moves you.
