Getting Paid To Video Chat..Collect Payment Before or After?

Today was an interesting day to say the least. I just lowered my standards once again and I'm not quiet sure I have any at all anymore. See the thing is that I need some serious dental work done, which obviously costs a fortune, and don't have much moolah at all. So that is where getting paid to live video chat comes in. I've done extensive research and just decided to give it a go today. So the problem I ran into is as such: He wants me to video chat with him first then "says" he will pay me but I want him to pay first so that I know it is legit! So, when your live video chatting for money do they pay before or after the call?! Thanks so much! XoXo LSB

Who pays for video chatting? If it really pays, you can ask for payment before.

@LapofLuxx I would join if it is plain video chatting, if it involves something else, no way. I will dismiss the earning part of it.

@jobelbojel So far its been just plain ole chatting. But as my teeth are suffering more and more i'm getting to be pretty open minded!

I would never do anything like that as there are to many sick people out there.

@LapofLuxx First of all, I would never pay $30,000 to get dental work done. I would go and find a real dentist near your house or city.

Even if you needed dental work like $30,000 worth? would you go toothless? Thanks for your answer!

I do not know anything about it. Do be careful when doing things like that and don't give too much personal information out.

If someone is demanding money from you, you shouldn't give it a try. Chances are that it will be fake.

Pay first. Ask him to pay you on paypal or what so that you can check right away.

I have been seeing a lot of people doing this. But you need to have a talent like singing, dancing, doing make up tutorials, etc.

That is what I thought at first too! Turns out you can be a complete kook, like myself ;) with no real talent and hundreds if not thousands of people from all over the globe are interested! Crazy right?!? but I must say its pretty awesome, Thanks for your reply!!

I would rather be paid first. Or you could have him pay half before the chat starts and half after? That way if you start video chatting and things get suspicious or you feel uncomfortable in any way you'll at least have gotten half of something? Not really sure, this seems like a tricky situation. Whatever you do, be safe.

I think no one pays for video chatting.

These days, there are lots of scam tactics online. But most task really need to be done first before you receive the payment. But in this case, it's kinda suspicious. What if he tells you that you didn't met the requirements for the task and declines to pay. That's time and energy gone to waste.

Be careful. Sometimes they want you to do something and they will talk you into doing it. Once they do, they may pay you but they will use that video to extort or blackmail you. Just be very cautious of that.
