Tasting Dr. Pepper strawberry / myLot

Dr. Pepper is my favorite brand of soda. Other than regular, there is cherry DP and cherry vanilla DP of which I am particularly fond of. During my recent travels, I found strawberry DP at Burger King and had to try it. Dr. Pepper and strawberry seemed an unlikely combination. I was not disappointed on that. The strong strawberry flavor is overpowering. Too much so. The drink tastes more like strawberry soda than anything resembling Dr. Pepper. I returned to cherry vanilla.

I've never tried any variety of Dr Pepper. I think I had the idea that it tasted of pepper - which I hate - but I have been reliably informed that this is not the case!

Ooh, I love cherry vanilla Dr. Pepper, too! In fact, I like cherry vanilla everything. Wally World has some cherry vanilla sparkling water that I like to mix with my soda.

You'll laugh at me when I tell you that I have never ever tasted even the original Dr. Pepper. But I'm not a huge pop drinker.

@JohnRoberts The name turns me off, I went to school with a guy whose last name was Pepper, and guess what career path he took? Yeah, he's best known as Dr. Pepper these days.

As you know, I prefer diet. The diet cherry vanilla is good. Strawberry anything tastes like kids cough medicine.

@JohnRoberts we don't ever get dr pepper at our store unless it's in the cooler and gets delivered by our soda guys. So we get regular and diet in the 20 or 16 oz bottles.

I guess it is one of those things you have to try...but you know what you like. Some of the Wendy's in this area have soda machines that have like 140 combinations of soda's or something..I like the berry flavored rootbeer.

I love Dr. Pepper, but I'm not a fan of strawberry soda, so I'm gonna pass on this.

Nope I don't like anything flavored strawberry because it is not close to what an actual strawberry tastes like. And I don't like Dr Pepper so there is that too.

@JohnRoberts I remember some place here in Jerusalem we had Dr Pepper once but now I do not see it. I have not had that in ages. I liked to drink regular Dr. Pepper.
