My boyfriend is so fond of watching YouTube and he showed me a video about renting girlfriends in China. Apparently it’s a popular trend and a lot of apps exist to rent a girlfriend.
Would you guys consider renting a girlfriend or boyfriend? And for what reasons? What do you think about this kind of trade?

Hm, I'm not sure if that is legal here, but if it were, I would be tempted.
I would realize that of course they don't really like me - they are only acting because I pay them - but at least it should guarantee that they treat me with a certain respect and admiration.... (I've had poor luck with men)

@FayeHazel I think dating is a matter of luck. Keep trying. I got my first boyfriend after a series of jerks and broken hearts.
You’ve got to be brave if you want results. Don’t be afraid to get hurt. If it’s love, it’s worth it.

@flapiz True. Since it would be an act on their part one must keeps one's wits about one's self and not fall in love with them. Could be more difficult than it sounds.
Oh you are so kind to say that. :-) But it is for real.... so many men have been cruel, mean, ... I have given up.

@isweartokira According to the lady interviewed, she learns a lot from doing the job. Specially things about business as usually her clients are business men.

@flapiz YES, absolutely, that's so important.
I'm sure you'd meet some interesting people doing something like this.

That’s true no money, no honey indeed. I wonder how much it would cost? Is it hourly or per job?

@ilocosboy What if it’s a long one. Like a 3 day event. Also a 1 hour meeting should pay less than a 3 hour event? And there is the level of difficulty too.
I’m so curious it makes people think I’m thinking of joining

@flapiz True, but the way I look at that is like others on here, that would be also like going to an escort service.

I know right. It’s kind of sad. I was thinking they can just download a regular dating app instead? But then if they really don’t want anything serious, renting could be a way to ensure that the rented party don’t make a mistake of developing feelings?

So no to paying for someone to hang out with? I’m surprised why people have to resort to such things. It seems really easy to find someone to hang out with these days.

Isn't that sort of the same thing as escort service?

Hahah that's cool. i would like to rent a boyfriend if i have to go to a special event or party and i'm not familiar or friends whith people there. It can be handy. But you shouldn't fall in love, he's here just for money i guess.
I think some others call this thing "wing girl/boy"

That’s a good reason to rent a winger. Some people rent to take to business meetings. You really shouldn’t fall in love. The girl on the interview said she doesn’t fall in love and she doesn’t care if her clients feel lonely or sad afterwards. She’s there for the money. But every person would be different. Some would probably fall.
