Maybe people don't care about the promise and think that promises are nothing promises can not change anything if you two can't be together. But for me, as I can see, a promise means the confidence of this person about the relationship. It means how much you believe in this relationship. It's more than a promise it's the symbol of your confidence in this relationship.
What about you? Do you want a promise? What do you think of a promise? Does a promise mean something to you?

Relationship survives on trust, love, respect and most importantly commitment and your intention to make it work.

@Evaaaaaa Some people think that way. Others, exactly the opposite. I made a commitment to my husband when I got married. After some time, we knew we would feel married even if all the legal papers burned.
