How many miles do you drive per week?

I know not everyone has a car, but if you do drive a car how many miles do you think you drive? I would say how many miles I drive depends on whether I am actively mystery shopping or not..but I will say 150 as a rough average. Even if I am not shopping, just driving around this area, to do errands..is probably about 30 or 40 miles. I am not too close to anything really..except a couple of convenience stores, which I try not to utilize too much other than to purchase gas, because of course, they are not the cheapest. What about you? Are you a road warrior, or do you stay at home?

In the last week we have driven our van 7,500 kilometres.....4460 miles. No wonder my backside is sore.

Without going to work every day and everything local, maybe a few miles a week unless I do something out of the ordinary.

A car isn't really a necessity in the city.

@JohnRoberts You just said you only drive a few miles per week because everything is local. I imagine not everyone in LA has a car.

I stay at home. When I was working I drove a lot. I'm glad those days are over. I'm very much a homebody.

@snowy22315 Haha. I hadn't thought about that. But even when we're away, I much prefer to travel the back roads and small villages rather than the big cities. I don't look for company other than Vince's although we do have lots of nice chats with locals from time to time.

I drive about 30,000 km per year. Substiture teacher in a big rural school division. I try to only mystery shop places I am driving past anyway and not add more driving/km

I do that with some of the smaller mystery shop jobs..some are not worth a special trip unless you are in the area.

@paigea I generally do bonused larger shops because I have to drive so far,.but it depends..if I can fit small jobs in I will do them

@snowy22315 I really only do small ones. Some get bonused in the small towns where I substitute, and if a teaching assignment lines up with a bonused mystery shop, great!

Maybe 200 a week. Maybe. I think I'm overestimating. I pretty much only drive to work which is close and to the gym which is 25 min away.

Yes, you may be over estimating. Some of my shops can end up being rather far away..and that would up the total of course..but there are occasional days that I go nowhere at all.

@snowy22315 Let's just say that I get 10,000 miles per year on the lease for my car. I'll hit the end of the 2nd year in Dec and I'm at 12,600 or something like that these days. It is bing bang back and forth to work. Going the the gym and back is 25 minutes each way so that is a bit more miles. Like I said, I over estimated.

To and from work for five days is one hundred miles. But at times hubby picks me up. No telling how much we drive on the weekend. I am trying to cut down.

My workplace is barely half a mile away and I don't drive to work. So I drive only to shops or church, etc. That's only a few miles a week!

My dad was looking at my car and noticed I've driven 33,000 miles in the last four years. That's not too bad. I haven't done the math to see how that comes out per week.

I don't have a car anymore but often drive for my elderly friends as they are having health issues these days. I have no idea on the mileage. I had one car and now I drive a few cars.

We do not use the car a lot, I would say no more than 20 miles per week, unless we have to go to Italy.

SS keeps me from going places as often as I'd like so my average weekly travels are about 50 miles right now. I might be on the road more now that cool weather might be coming my way, I want to socialize Ally more so we'll be going to parks on the other side of the mountain more often. I think she'll have a blast and I know I will, so will my camera.

I can't imagine not having a driver's license. You don't really need a car in the city, but in the country it is a neccessity as I see it.
