USA Justice System - Presidents and Rape

This is an opinion, a rant if you will.
I get so tired of the Trump haters calling me names! Telling me I am stupid because I do not join in on their hate spreading, while they are praising the last president, Obama, like he should come back and take over. Obama term(s) are over, next! that is how it works.
Well some people sure as heck did not listen to one word Obama said, he wanted peace and for us to love and respect each other. For some reason some people think he, Obama, was not for any white people at all.
Many people think that since women came forward and said " He raped me" that the man should be thrown in a pit of fire and burned to death, just because she said those words.
That is not how the USA justice system works, you are innocent until PROVEN guilty.
1- Get raped get up and go to the police before you bath or shower, file a police report of what happened to you.
2- Then you will see a doctor at the hospital.
3- They collect "EVIDENCE" of this said crime.
4 - The police turns it over to the District Attorney`s office
5- You have you day in court.
If women do not tell, no one knows.
If the women do not tell, she does not get her justice.
If women do not tell, her rapist goes free to thrive in life.
If women do not tell, they have given their power away.
DO NOT wait till all the evidence of rape is gone. Not one hour, not one day and most certain not years later. Then its your word against his and if you get a jury trail, doubt is in their minds because you waited.
You wait and he lives a nice life, clean record and can be anything, while you still have this rape on your mind.
Then there are those woman that cry rape after being scorned. Oh yes! This happens.
That is why, tell, give the courts evidence they need to stop those who do this to us women.
Come forward as soon as rape happens because an innocent man should not be convicted because he dumped or rejected a woman either.
This will provide :
Your father will be safe.
Your brother will be safe.
Your son will be safe.
Your boyfriend will be safe.
Your husband will be safe.
When a crime is committed, you are raped, report this as soon as possible.
You have the power to stop this man from hurting more woman, you have the proof on your body, his body fluids on and in you, his hair and hopefully his skin under your finger nails. The police can get to the crime seen and gather more evidence, sheets and carpet fibers, fingerprints. This is real life not t.v. they will do all of that....... for you!
Use the justice system. I did.

I think people who lean liberal are going to be surprised in November. Their rantings are becoming so hate filled mainstream America is turned off. They are playing a dangerous game. I have voted for a Democrat once before, but I won't be doing that this year. The open calls for harassment for people who disagree with you are scary.
Her witnesses don't back her up, as for me, that made up my mind on Dr. Ford. She may really think he did it, but I don't.

@andriaperry I would hate to be the liar. I remember a case where a woman swore up and down her husband beat her and raped her. He went to jail. Years later they were able to get a DNA match: it was NOT her husband.

Like I said below, only God knows and he will have to judge the liar.

@DianneN No not really, it was a long time ago. I chose to live now and not in the past. I can`t change anything but I can live like I want, the future.

I still remember when crying rape even after only a minute meant being on trial for possibly "asking" for it, many girls and women were so intimidated that they didn't dare report rape. I am so glad times have changed and that when a woman cries rape she is not put on trial to see if maybe she "asked" for it.

Along with all kinds of styles like 10 inch heels ..... ok, maybe not 10" but boy are they overly tall @andriaperry then there's the mini skirt, push up bras and all kinds of uncomfy clothes and shoes for women.

I remember mom always wearing those pretty camisoles under her blouses back in the 1960s @Morleyhunt at least it was a little less revealing than it would have been without one.

@andriaperry Women cannot say nothing for years and then come out saying they "were raped". If someone did something wrong to you, go to the police and let them know immediately.

@LadyDuck So many women who were sexually assaulted are ashamed, thinking it was their fault. It is not at all uncommon for women to suppress the memory of the act.

Like you said, this is not a television show. Crimes should be reported, evidence gathered. I like that you remind us not to give away our power. No one is going to come rescue you, you must get up and do the hard things.

@andriaperry Although you may not have mentioned names, your post was very much about rape and a veiled reference to Dr Fords ordeal.

This post is not about any of that, its about someone calling me a name and telling me I would enjoy getting assaulted by President Trump.

I am sorry you had to go through that. But for some women coming forward is scarier than living with it at that time. I am not saying they are right, just stating what I know. I was never raped but did have an abusive husband the first time. With the way I had been raised I felt he had the right to do that in some ways. It took a couple of years after he started pushing the boundaries but finally he pushed the wrong button and I stood up to him. I did not file any abuse charges tho as I had no proof at that time on my body. I do agree it needs to be done as soon as possible for any of the crimes. Hopefully our daughters, granddaughters and nieces can learn to move to stop it immediately if it would happen to them. Without any of the YOU CAUSED IT accusations.

I agree...man or woman...if not reported at the time the assault/rape occurred, credibility is less.

In India, the same thing prevails.. It's like you have to be on one side.. You can't be neutral.. And it sucks.. These excited people are so much active in spreading hatred, tension, they feel they are doing it for the country and they are right in their own ways

Sorry you had to go thru that too. I did when I was very young but it did not turn out for me Angie.
Very unjust. The system did not work for me.
He still went free.
I hope karma has eaten him by now tho.
But yes women do need to speak up.

Every time I see people fighting over this on Facebook I point out that I don't know who is telling the truth as I wasn't there. People are too quick to point fingers.

This was a good post, Angie. There are legitimate crimes of rape that should be reported right away and the rapist should be in prison. But for everyone to say, "Believe the woman!" no matter what the evidence does or does not show, is pretending that ALL women ALWAYS tell the truth. And we ALL know that's not true. I can't imagine going through a horrible experience like that, but like you said, there are some women who lie about it.
