I´ll do an hour of reading.

Lately I don´t read much. I blame it on my eyes but the truth is that I became an addict of the computer and the TV when I was on chemotherapy. For me, chemo saved my life. But I had no energy to do much and was not permitted to go out of the house except with a mask.
With that, I was just seated on a chair, either playing or writing here. The energy is in part back, but the addiction persists.
And now it is the time to let it go.
If I could stop smoking after over 50 years, I can do anything, even go to the moon
So, for today, it is a goodnight.. Sleep tight, friends. See you tomorrow.

I have become addicted to some movies just before I turn off the lights.

@marguicha I cannot sleep if I watch the TV immediately before sleeping, we do not keep a TV set in the bedroom, my husband has a problem with electronics in the bedroom, he gets headaches. I even keep the cellphone in another room.

@marguicha My eyes get less tired reading a book than watching the TV or the computer. I need to stop staring at a screen in the evening.

I miss reading a good book, but it's my own fault this happens:( As you, I'm addicted to roaming around the Internet, on sites I love best and My Lot is my all time favorite! I apologize for being so forgetful, with names. After having a mini-stroke a year ago, my memory only works part time

Don´t you worry. We should play who has the worst memory. It is not important to remember a name. It is important to know that you like a person, even if you can only point your finger at her

It is wonderful to hear that you have quit smoking. That is great. I wish my daughter could. Computer and tv addiction is not that bad. It could be a lot worse.

@marguicha .....They say that the average smoker will try half dozen times before they are finally able to. It's not easy I'm sure.

@celticeagle It is a big addiction. And I am aware that I cannot EVER smoke one single ciggie as I will start again.

listening to audiobooks is good alternative to reading a book.

I started to smoke when I was very young and smoking was "cool". It is very addictive.

I was a bookworm during my younger years. But with the arrival of computers and the internet, it's been years since I held a book. Lately I've been thinking of setting a goal to read at least one good book a month. Perhaps dust off the old books before bedtime.

It is a good idea to start rereading the books you loved.
