Old House On top of the hill is a dark house. All that lives there is dead, even that rotting mouse. All the children dare each other to go in; as far as I know none have been. Tomorrow is Halloween night; for a party the house is just right. The teen was drunk, not thinking straight. He was looking for a dark room, somewhere to take his date. He meant no harm, not wanting to kill someone. But his young lady, she will never again see the sun. The idea wasn't his, ohh the voices in his head. With the swing of a knife she...was...dead. Now the old house up on a hill has a new ghost. For your next Halloween party let her be the host. ~John Woolard 8/5/2000
