Using The Same Password: Isn’t it a Good Idea?

I think it won’t give us a hard time remembering other passwords in several accounts we have created. I’m using the same password with my online accounts before but I’ve read from the Internet that it’s not a good idea so I changed them all. One problem I encountered was I tend to forget that I’m changing it leaving me in trouble to gain access especially if that account is not use more often. Another thing is when I failed to answer all the security questions it would put my access on hold for a couple of hours before I could try to log-in back. I have this idea now that I need to write it down so that every time I would forget it I have the notes to look forward. I know that I should be careful of those so that it won’t fall on the wrong hands. Photo Credit: Pixabay.com

Of course it's not safe, if one site is hacked and the hacker gets your password the hacker can log into all your accounts.

@ZedSmart Especially now that hackers have stolen data from Facebook and G+.

That's the disadvantage. Better safe than regret later.

@LadyDuck That's horrible. Let's just hope that we don't fall the victims.

I used to be like that but as I read that it is not safe to have one password only so I try to change my password and made a password for two to three sites the same and jot it down.

Using the same password is not good when it comes to your online security. Use different passwords and keep them note down in a separate notepad so you can get them in case you forget.

Yes, you are right. That was what I'm doing now although I want it the same so that I don't have to put it that way.

I bought a book "The Personal Internet address & password logbook" to keep track--now I have to hide the book! :O)

I have all my passwords in two places, in my little black book, yes, it's black, and in an online notebook.

I think it would be nice because our forgetfulness would put us sometimes in trouble. Goodbye passwords too.

Same here now. I'm not good at pressing my memory so it's better we have a note to look forward eventually.

I use different passwords for different accounts. I'm old school so I write them in a small notebook. There's this app Dashlane, where you can keep all your password for every account. You just have to remember your Dashlane password.

Writing it would be helpful as long as it is keep properly. Yes, I do that and I trusted that more than with any other applications.

Never use the same passwords. If your security gets breached hackers will use the password as their first try for all of your accounts.

I think its a bad idea. With so many scammers and net wizzards who can grab your password I think its better to just write them all in a notebook.
