QUESTION: What can you tell to a person who's going through depression?

Tell them it’s okay to get help, and that help is available.
Do NOT EVER say “just snap out of it.”

...and don't ever tell them, "Oh, you're just having a case of the blues".

Honestly I don't think that you can tell them much, I mean you can always tell them it will get better or keep looking up, I think it all depends on what kinda depression they are in.

Truth. The most important thing that we can do is to show them love and support. But small encouragements can help them, too! :)

If they want to talk then I would listen to them. I would take them for a walk to a park and spent some time with them.
