What motivates you to get up in the morning?

Are you a morning person or night owl? Do you have trouble getting up in the morning, sleeping though your alarms, and running late everywhere or not getting up to workout and start your day? Well this is me. I have hyperthyroidism; which isn't an excuses but damn I have trouble waking up. Sometimes I sleep though every alarm I set for myself in the morning. What do you do to get up in the morning and motivate yourself to start your day bright and early?
Early bird gets the worm!
I don't take credit for the photo.

I am just naturally an early riser. I am motivated by coffee. I am not one to work out, but I still get up and go to work.

I wake up whenever I'm ready to wake up. I wake up for life. There is nothing I hate more than having to wake up when I haven't completed my sleep.

That's a good question. I still have to think about that...

Does going to bed at 4am make me a night owl? Or do I have to wait until sunrise to be considered one? I don't like alarms and waking up to them is an unpleasant enough experience that my body somehow always manages to wake up before they go off. Usually the one who motivates me to get out of bed is my dog, who will sit there and let out an occasional small whine or give the bed a little shake until I wake up fully to get dressed, take her out and give her breakfast. Considering how other dogs wake up their owners I consider myself lucky she is so polite about it.

I am not a morning person because I always sleep really late at night. And I tend to be cranky/moody when I don't get enough sleep.

My biggest motivation to get up is that my husbands needs breakfast! Thankfully he's not such an early riser.

I am a night owl. I did learn to be a morning person for many years when the kids lived home. They had school and other stuff and I had to get up and make sure they got off to school every day.
Since they are grown and on their own, I am sort of in the middle. I get up because I have online earning things to do and I stay up half the night watching youtube videos and/or reading.
