Do you have a hard time staying asleep at night?

Its hard when I experience this. I knew I had an insomnia cause I can't stay sleeping for 8 hours or more unless I deprived myself of sleep the previous days or unless I was really very tired. Sometimes I can sleep early in the evening however when I wake up for bathroom in the middle of the night I wont be able to go back to sleep anymore. But the weird thing was I can sleep in a moving vehicle and the more rough the road was the more it made me sleepy. Sometimes I am taking allergy pills to make me fall asleep or sometimes I drink chamomile tea, sometimes it work sometimes it doesn't. I even tried playing relaxing music just to make me fall asleep. Even though my eyes want to sleep and I really feel sleepy I still can't sleep sometimes. How about you guys? Do you experience the same thing from time to time?

Yeah, especially when I am far away from home or during 5 working days. I sleep better with my family.

Sometimes, I am like that - very sleepy but when I lie, the sleepiness goes away. The cause of this, in my case, is when I have problems (work-related, most of the times).

@mayrah What I do is to watch videos so that my mind will wander and not get focused on negative things.

I think I have a severe case of insomnia. I have been sleeping really late (around 5 in the morning) for the past few months. But I don't want to take any pills for it since I already am taking a lot of maintenance medicines every day.

ah I see, me I don't take maintenance pills all the time.. sometimes I just take antihistamnine or sleepwell if there is a free sample given by med rep.. Actually I found out That the phone's led light also prevent us from sleeping. so according to research if we want to sleep away we have to stay away from phone or computers about 2 to hours before going to bed. But I can't do that.. lol

I have had this issue for a few years. It’s like I sleep very deep for 3-4 hours but then no more. I hope something helps you. It’s a frustrating thing to experience!
