I am not really fan of lending money to co-workers cause I hate the headache of asking them to pay me back. But I do sell products which sometimes I allow them to pay on the day of the salary or sometimes two gives, meaning every two weeks they will pay 50%. I didn't have problem with them since I only choose the people that I offer an installment payment.
However when it comes to lending money to co-workers I did try it for few times. I have this co-worker that everytime she ask to borrow money my heart soften for her. I felt like she badly needs it so I always give in. She always pay anyway but not on the exact time she promise. Now I still have to collect some money from her and waiting for her to send it to my account since we already paid from work. How about you guys? What are your experiences regarding co-worker who borrow money from you?

I had only one experience of lending money to a former co-worker to pay for his electric bill. He never paid. I have several other bad experiences of lending to people who never paid me. One still had the gall to borrow again even when he did not pay his previous debt. I did not lent him for the second time anymore. Another sad experience was when a friend among my college friends borrowed money from me which was part of the proceeds I made from my office to put up a concrete water tank and a dirty kitchen. It took several months of calling to collect; she never paid and it cost her our friendship.

@mayrah They can probably sleep soundly if they've been used to it already.
