Do you buy things because you need it, want it or because its on sale?

Personally I don't buy things just because they are on sale. My motivations for buying are usually because I need them, or I want them and not just because I got a good deal. Maybe its different with some people. I just feel like its a waste of money to buy things that I don't need. Specially if I am on a strict budget. However sometime you have to choose between two brands that you need to buy, the first one is the one you really like but expensive and the other one is the brand that would be okay for you and cheaper. For me I would still chose the cheaper one over the things that I really like because I need it and the okay brand will deifinitely serve the purpose. How about you guys?how do you get motivated in buying things?

@May2k8 . I think it depends May2k8, specially when it come to medicine. Even they are both branded the first brand in the market is still the best because the research that was done for that brand was very extensive and thorough. Its just my opinion though.

@mayrah the new brand is not as good as the old brand, that's what I feel.

I find shopping a necessity, not a pleasure. In my opinion, people who enjoy shopping and see it as a hobby have got a screw loose.

@mayrah I think one should write 'shopaholic'. Having this affliction can be a disaster if someone hasn't got much money.

These days, I just buy the things that I need. I’d rather save than spend.

I guess each of those situations might motivate me to purchase an item on occasion but I usually only buy what I need. .

These days I am buying less and less to nothing. I must save money my friend. Only what is necessary or on sale. I am not easily tempted or motivated to buy these days.
