I've read the book of Chinkee Tan which was the Diary of the Beggar. I have so many realizations such as in spending, wasting money, loans and many more. Of course I also realized my regrets because of the unnecessary expenses that I have done especially when I was young. I keep on spending without being conscious about the expenses and the value of money especially when you compute it. I have this guilty feeling in which if I have a chance to re compute all my expense it is for sure it has a lot of money of wasting in which I do hope it was saved for the future. Now that I have my own family have the responsibility I would teach my kid on how to be wise in spending and she shouldn't be like me that I've wasted a lot. I admit that I violated in spending money though now when reading the books about financial literacy such as the books of Chinkee Tan it helps to be more enlightened and more conscious in spending. More so I now learned to be more practical.

I also recommend reading Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki and also take a look at of the books he has written. Good for you that you are now realizing how money works. Also I recommend that you invest in mutual funds instead of just saving because if you keep saviing your money will just be eaten by inflation so it is not enough. Try Philequity and search for its performance. I saw a post where 1million pesos earned and became 38million over the span of 20 years. Keep the money coming and let money work for you!
