You should try to consult your opthalmologist if you can. I think it is ideal for young age if you really want to restore your vision. But not all will be restored to 20-20. some will just retain the grade of their eyes and not experienced erratic changes in eye grade.

I don't think it is a good idea to have a lasik surgery to deal with the eyesight. It is risky. Especially I heard it will be side effects when you grow old. Besides, did you find that the optical doctors are still wearing glasses? If the lasik surgery works so well, why they still have to wear glasses?

There is a 50/50 chance that you would go blind. Also your old vision would come back after some years. Lasik can also make your retina very thin which is not good of course. I have been wearing eyeglasses since college and i once considered wearing contact lense or having lasik. But nope, after knowing all the side effects or possible consequences, no way.
