A test or examination is an assessment intended to measure a test-takers knowledge, skills, aptitude and physical fitness. In these case students are given test papers to answer. The subject that they are taking includes math, science, history and physical education. The teacher creates test to measure their understanding of specific content or the effective application of critical thinking skills. Such test are used to evaluate students learning skills, level of growth and academic achievements at the end of an instructional period But some people or even a country contradict with this ideas for various reasons. What do you think? Are test even necessary to students or just a burden to both students and teachers? Your opinion is highly appreciated!

A test is necessary so as to measure how much the students are learning. However, it should be done in a good strategy or else the students will just be studying so as to pass the exams.

Thats a very good point, a pen and paper test will not definitely measure learning, it needs various ways and strategy to assess such learning.

Hello, co-teacher! A pen and paper test is just one way to measure the students' skills. It is necessary as other types of learning measurements like performance tasks and recitations. There are multiple intelligences in learners as Howard Gardner argues. This contends the traditional perception of intelligence. We can never say that those good in math exams are more intelligent and those who excel in sports.
