yesterday was my mom birthday, but i didn't give her anything except a pray for her.
my suggestion,
why don't you cook at her birthday(eventhough you can't just try), give her a candle light dinner, buy a small birthday cake, kiss her and give her flower.
errm. let me see the bugdets..
a small birthday cake will be Rp. 75,000
flowers will be Rp. 50,000
so it will be Rp 125,000
(well, for cooking use ingredients from your own refrigerator, and it'll be Rp0,^_^)
it must be a very nice birthday party

I am a mother and I want to tell you what I would like for my birthday. a lovely meal with my children pooibly a boguet of flowers (Not Important) but nice. The best presant I ever got were 2 Letters they were from My son and grandson, They told me how much they cared for me and how inportat i was to them. I was all in their own words nothing has ever meant so much to me. I don't want things that I might have to pretend I like just because the kids got them.

I am in the same situation at the moment... it's my mom's birthday soon and I have run out of ideas for gifts for her.
I am thinking of getting her a magazine subscription to her favourite mag. It's a great gift because every time she receives one she will think of it as another gift (even if it is small)...
It's a gift that keeps on giving - until her next birthday anyway :)

I've found that a good backup gift for any female is a poem. This is because it can come straight from the heart, and is completely sentimental. Also, if you are strapped for cash, you can simply have a white piece of paper and the poem, but if you can shell a few bucks, you can also put it on a great stationary.

I would give my mother a day to herself. Take her where she wanted to go and let her do what she wanted to do. No cell phone, no bothersom work related emails. A day out and about enjoying what she loves to do. The cost is decided by what your own mother feels is included in a day of R and R.

I will buy her a pair of earrings from a local shop, as she's been jealous of pairs I've brought other people. It'll cost me about $7 to $10 (US).

If I have the money I would give her $50k so that she can spend it on whatever she wants. However, I don't have that much of money, so maybe I would just give her a call and wish her the best of birthday ever. I would send her a bouquet of roses by courier to surprise her and a little love card with a box of chocolate. That would really make her happy, I hope so.
I love you mom.

Somthing that she will be able to treasure for years to come for example an item of jewlerry or a good quality peice of clothing. Doesnt have to be expensive just as long as she will appreciate it..its the thought that counts afterall isnt it
