I will say this about fifth grader Niall McDermott who is following the example of the movie called "Iron Cowboy" which came in 2016 which was about James Lawrence who ran 50 Ironman Triathlons in 50 states. In the case of Niall, the reason he wanted to run 5 K Ironman Triathlons was to raise money for his grandfather who is suffering from lung cancer. Niall had gotten permission from the medical doctors to pursue his dreams of running 50 Ironman Triathlons in 50 straight days. Niall shook off his critics who said he was too young to try to follow the footsteps of his hero. Niall stared his quest in the San Francisco area seven weeks ago. The amazing part of this story is that he did not show any signs of quitting. Thanks to his amazing accomplishment, Niall was able to raise $4,000 dollars from patrons who donated the money to the Bonnie J Addario Lung Cancer Foundation in the honor of his grandfather. Niall's mother Maggie is impressed with her son's belief in himself that when he set his mind to pursue his goal, he was able to accomplish his goal.
