Losing your hard earned money

I was in this store earlier to buy something. I handed P1000 (two P500 bills) to the cashier but the cashier ask if i have a lower amount so i gave her P200. And she gave me my change out of it. I usually have this habit that when ever i arrived from home i usually liquidate all the product I purchased on that day. But when i was calculating my money i noticed that i am short P500. And i tracked everything I spent from the products I bought but I was really shorted. Then I remembered that I gave the cashier from that store of two bills which is two P500's but i never remembered that she gave back one of the P500. So i phone called the store and the manager says they will do a cash count and see if there are some over amount of their counter. But sadly they have everything what exactly their system says, no over count. But i clearly remembered that i never received the P500 bill. So i asked if there are cctv cameras on the store but they said they have nothing. This have never happened to me before. Do you know that feeling. That your hard earned money just got lost? I mean to others that is just a small amount but to me it is already way bigger. That was my 1 week allowance.
