Technology interfering in personal times

Yes, I am too a victim of it. Nowadays, people love to spend their time with Mobiles rather than talking to person sitting beside him. We're losing the charm of our relationship just because of it. How many of you are allowing mobiles to interfere in your family time?

To be honest, I think you have a good point. Personally, I try not to allow my phone interfere with my relationship.

Same as @Corbin5 I almost never use my mobile, I have never liked to talk on a phone. I use the phone in case of emergencies.

@debjani1 I have one that I keep in my bag, just because you never know when you go outside.

@LadyDuck that's very true. Mobiles should be used for purpose only.

Yes I agree with you. Like all things, mobile phones also have their disadvantages.

I avoid using my phone or laptop when the family is together.. I insist that the others follow it too. But my boys watch Tv during dinner.. I don't like it so much even though they try to play something all of us like.

Yes people are spending more time online but the relationships are taking a hit. In fact, I recently wrote a blog on this on a site. I have seen people getting into disagreement because of their interaction on WhatsApp or Facebook.

Yes, I have noticed that. Sometimes, hubby and I will already be resting in bed with each of us on our phone. I would be in myLot or playing a game while my hubby would be watching some happy things or viewing a documentary on his phone. WHat I do, I stop what I am doing on my phone and join him in watching whatever he is watching on his phone.

I don't. :( I barely know how to use my phone, much less let it interfere with things. Recently I was using it when I probably shouldn't have, and had to stop myself, though. ;( I live alone, and don't have family time to be interfered with even if I were glued to my phone, which thankfully I'm not.

I rarely use my mobile. I throw it in my purse when I leave the house for emergencies.

Almost all the time. If you need to know the time, you use it. If you're bored, you lay games or read older messages. Things like that. We should relax as people used to. Silence is not an enemy

Modern technology like using mobile phone doesn't interfere with my family time. In fact, it strengthens our family bonding. We could communicate anytime, anywhere; good or bad weather. There's nothing wrong with technology as far as our family or personal concern.

I don't have a cel phone and don't like typing on anything smaller than a full sized keyboard so I can't see myself ever having this problem
