I mean, if you are not, what the hell is wrong with you? It's $654 million for the MegaMillions. It's ony $2.
Granted, the odds are totally against you. You are more likely to be struck by lightning 43 times before you'd win the jackpot once.
But this is a lot of money.
Are you serious? You don't have a ticket?

My brother drove us to four different stores last night for lottery tickets. Since he made us choose the numbers I wonder if we'll get any. Maybe I should charge for each that win

Actually your odds do not change when the drawings go higher. Your odds stay exactly the same no matter what the amount is. What DOES influence a higher chance of SOMEONE winning, however, is the fact that when drawings reach these higher amounts more people tend to buy tickets and there happens to be a higher percentage of the possible number combinations out there. Generally when the percentage is about 80% of the possible number combinations that's when someone wins. But it IS all random no matter what. Buying more tickets also does not increase your chances by enough of a percentile to matter. Although many people think it does. It is pure luck in the grandest sense of the word.

I bought a ticket this afternoon on my way home from work. Just one. As my husband says, spending $2 or $10 really isn't going to make a difference.
The only reason I even know about it was because I have a loaner car and am forced to listen to traditional radio. I heard a commercial stating how much the jackpot was and that it was being drawn tonight. Otherwise I would have been clueless.

Game of chance that is. If you don't bet, you lost nothing and missed the chance of winning. If you bet, there's a slim chance of winning but, if you would be the lucky winner then it's plenty of money.
Here for now, I stop betting after the ultra lotto prize of 1.1B Php had won already by 2 lucky bettors.
