Hmmm...I have noticed something lately. I am probably way late on this observation, but no matter. We have a HELL of a lot of consumer choices, especially in the food and/or grocery realm! I was listening to a comedian opine, for example, that when he was a kid, there was ONE flavor of Cheerios: *paper *! Now there's nut cluster, cinnamon, peanut butter and chocolate!, and if course honey nut. Umm..but should we draw the line af LEMON OREOS?? I mean, I'm not a curmudgeon by any stretch, and am proud that I have yet, except when writing ironically, to utter the phrase "when I was a boy..."! But I wonder how this classic chocolate and vanilla metaphor for what is right with the world has gone all...over abundant? All...niche! I dunno. If there wasn't a dire cost to ecology for our consumption, I suppose the more variety and choice the better. But we throw away so MUCH! Okay, I'll stop kvetching. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go have an ice cold milk and dip some coconut Oreos in peanut butter!
