2,852 but it was more like 3,000 steps

Went out this morning and I walked around my neighborhood. There are roads that are steeper than others and so I got a good workout going. I might go back out later today and do it again. There's a road not too far from me that is pretty steep and would be good to work the leg muscles.
I'd say 200 calories burned isn't bad, that was more than what I ate for breakfast this morning.
My only complaint is that my headphones wouldn't work on my phone and so I am going to have to try and get some more the next time I go out. I used to have two pair but one of them broke.
Fall is my favorite time to walk around. What about yours?

We only have the front porch, side porch and back steps. My sister lives in a three story home and she has stairs she has to traverse to get into her home. I would love to just pay her a visit only to exercise going up and down those stairs.
I've lost some weight but I want to lose more. I'm on a lower calorie diet and trying to avoid sweets.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Also our home is a three story home, I think that our stairs are my best daily exercise.

I found my niece's that she left here. One of the ear pieces does not work, but the other does. Now I won't have to spend any money.
I think starches (potatoes, pasta) are supposed to make you gain.

@JustBhem Oh. Does the doctor recommend other foods for you to eat and gain weight?

You can still use it.
Yes, I like pasta and potatoes and still, I don't gain weight.

Walking is my number one choice for exercise. Fall is usually a great time for walking....not too hot....no bugs....
The last few weeks have been very rainy....this makes regular walking a little more challenging.

It's raining heavily here today. I thought I was going to have a window of time to walk in, but I guess not. It's going to be horrible for those trying to vote now.

Just gotta keep at it, right? That's one reason why I posted it here, just a little more encouragement.

@CarolDM Do you track your steps? I feel like that encourages me to walk for longer.

I really need to do something like this. Since I retired 3 months ago I've put on nearly a stone in weight!

I found using a step counter makes me accountable for how much I exercise. I used to have a fitbit and that motivated me as well.

It is not my favorite thing in the world either but I am trying to get back into walking.
I'd rather just sit outside on the front porch and do nothing but watch the squirrels and the cats.

It's been nice temps during the day, but has gotten down to the 30's at night. I went out twice today, I'll probably post my stats for the second walk in a little while.

I downloaded a GPS app to my phone. I want to start walking again, so that I can get back into jogging and entering 5k's again. The app will help me with distance and time.

I wish I could have listened to music, I might have walked for longer. It's so pretty out in the fall, the cooler weather, the leaves falling from trees, it's nice!
