Thanks to the efforts of a Houston police officer who saw a storm drain open and heard the cries of help from a colt, a brown and white coated pony was rescued by the emergency workers of the city two days ago.
The police officer whose name was not released was in the area checking up on an auto that was in the area.
After the officer called the emergency responders to assist the pony get out of trouble, the emergency workers managed to sedate the pony by cutting the cement around the drain and then hoisting the pony out of the storm drain trap he was in.
After the pony was placed back to the ground, the pony was able to drink some water, eat some grass and walk toward animal control officers who took the pony to an animal shelter to be treated for any illnesses or injuries.

Maybe the pony was curious and fell into the drain.

@Deepizzaguy I think I got it. The pony saw his reflection in the water in the drain and wanted to get to the other pony and he fell in.

I'm glad that the emergency workers took time to save this pony, because animals matter too.
