What will you sacrifice?

When emperror Jahangir was asked, by his father emperror Babar, what is the dearest to him, he replied "You My father". When emperror Jahangir was ill and almost in deathbed, one sufi said Babar, "You have to scrifice Jahangir's most dearest, then he will be back to life again." Babar thought for a while and then prayed "Allah, take mylife and give Jahangir his life back, as I am the only dearest to Jahangir" This was the act of an Emperror, what can you sacrifice if you get into a situation like this to take decision?
