This story is bittersweet since losing a loved one at the restaurant where Wendall Gill has worked for 40 years working as janitor at McDonald's is where two months ago when Wendell has having lunch with his wife Della for the last time.
When Della went to the restroom, she passed away due to an aneurysm. It broke Wendall's heart that the woman who he was married to for 68 years passed away.
Then Todd Oldfield who was a former employee of Wendall and a close friend decided to assist Wendall in his time of sadness by using the website GoFundMe.com to raise $100,000 so Wendall could pay off his debts and raise two grandchildren who have special needs.
So far Wendell has been receiving $95,000 dollars to assist him financially since the reason he is working at McDonald's is that with so much debt, he cannot afford to retire from his work at McDonald's.

I enjoy hearing human interest stories and I've heard a lot about GoFundMe. Makes it very easy to help people in need.

He sure is lucky that someone has tried to help him get funds to at least give him a time to pay his debt and his grandchildren's special needs. I just hope that would be enough to pay his debt and live a comfortable life. I think he needs to retire now.
