I was at the gas station and filled up petrol. I was paying by card and noticed that the person keyed in an amount that was lesser than the actual amount as he miscalculated a discount offer. I pointed it out and he corrected the error. I'm sure he would have gotten into trouble if I hadn't as it was about ?1000 less!!
Have you ever corrected a bill when someone charged less?

This has never happened to me when I used my card. However, when I use cash, it has happened to me a few times that I was given more change than what I was actually owed. Now it's only a dollar or two, I usually don't say anything. If it was $10 or more and I noticed it before leaving the store, I would give it back to them.
However, there have been times when I have had a rotten cashier. Just someone who was in a bad mood and not paying attention. I bought $11 worth of snacks at the local store one time and paid with a $20. The cashier sneered at me and asked if I had exact change because they didn't want to have to give me all ones. I didn't. All I had brought with me at the time was that $20.
The cashier sneered at me and proceeded to make change. He pointed me out to his friend and started talking about how inconsiderate some people are. It probably took him 5 minutes to give me my change and reciept. Once we got outside, I counted my money to make sure I had the correct change and I just laughed. Not only did he give me my $9 in ones, but he also gave me a $5 and my original $20 back to me.
Now another time at the same store, different cashier, the same thing happened. I paid with a $20 and they gave it back to me with my change. Cashier was nice and I could tell he was tired so I gave him the $20 back. He was so appreciative, he gave my daughter a free donut.
