Do You Think It’s Delicious?

Well, I have a second thought because it’s inexpensive and for the reason that I have no more time to hop with another shops that evening (one I hate when the rush), for the sake I just bought it.
It’s from a local bakeshop and for the price I paid, no wonder that I could not love its taste. It’s more surprising to taste like a high end cake that size valued economically. I could have bought at Red Ribbon or Goldilocks (famous cake shops across the country) but they’re closed already. They have economic variants that taste better.
Have you bought something that you don’t like after because of the rush and no more time to hop in other stores?

It's a gamble when we buy cakes or even other products from those brands or local stores, instead of those proven to be good stores.
Well, in your case the shops are all closed already, so you bought it because you feel like buying one. You were disappointed of its taste because you are more or less expecting that it would taste like those branded cakes. Well, sometimes those cakes baked by homemakers are more delicious than those in famous stores.

we have a bakery here (where we buy our daily pandesal) that used to sell brownies that was moist and bittersweet. people thought i bought them from well known bakeshops. sadly, they've discontinued it.

It looks good and I surely gonna like it.
I cannot turn down any kind of cakes as long as it is sweet and yummy. It is an ube flavored cake, I presumed, because of its color, and I like ube.

Maybe you don't like the flavor. I do believe it is not just a flavoring because all of it are purple, which I thought it is ube.

@ilocosboy Perhaps. I don't have issue about the frosting but the cake itself.

I love that color of the cake!
There's a Red Ribbon next to the Jollibee at a nearby mall. I didn't realize it was also a Filipino company.

@ZedSmart I just looked it up, and Red Ribbon's parent company is the Jollibee Foods Corporation. You were right!

Cakes being sold in some online shops taste way better than those of local bakery shops in your area. They are even at par with famous cake shops like Goldilocks and Red Ribbon.

i've done that, too - bought bread, cakes, cookies, etc from other bakeries. i agree, it's hit-or-miss.

That's the problem with other owners. They do not maintain the quality and taste of their products and change over time. I also had one issue of that with my favorite mongo and cheese ensaymada. They used to use imported ingredients but not nowadays. It's no longer like the way it was before.
