This morning's Strongman workout was a good one. There were 4 exercises to do and we cycled through them for about 45 minutes. This is what we did:
1) Medicine ball clean/squat/toss over shoulder (1L/1R)
2) Hussafel carry (50-100 feet)
3) Sled rope pull/push (50'/50')
4) Bench press (2)
The Hussafel carry was a new one to me. It is a large V-shaped object that is downright awkward and uncomfortable to carry. It is only 80 pounds but it puts a lot of pressure on the middle of your forearms which isn't pleasant. The men were adding plates to the inside to make it heavier but 80 pounds was more than enough for me. The rest of the workout was fine.
Next workout is Monday night for open gym. We are going to work on traditional things like bench press, squat, deadlift, and hang/clean.

Maybe the long layoff of rest was good for your body and handled today easy.

The rest was good but it just wasn't a super-hard workout. 2 bench presses? Even the sleds weren't stacked with plates. It was fine, though, because it just meant that we were able to get more rounds in. That hussafel thing was evil though. My forearms are already bruised.
