An Outdoor Gym

Obesity is becoming a common word in health reports and Government policy. In the UK there is a lot of talk about increasing 'active travel', walking and cycling to the rest of us folks.
The Government is pumping billions into roads and motor transport, but has set minimal targets for active travel and expects local councils to make it happen with budgets already stretched by deep cuts, imposed by the centre.
Still, my council is taking a stab at it and in the local park an outdoor gym opened earlier this. There were two chaps using it today, so I am going to keep an eye on it as the weeks go by and see how much it gets used.
Don't think I shall use it myself, I go everywhere by good old active travel!

@Ronrybs No. There are more pressing issues to spend tax money. People know what they are doing to their bodies and it's their responsibility.

There isnt one here nearby but I do recall living in an area where there was. It was so useful to me.

We have outdoor gym equipment along with a big track to walk at our local park. I use them all the time and walk the track at least 4 miles.

I recently read an article that lack of exercise is as bad as smoking, drinking, and doing anything else harmful to one's health. Our walking tails have had exercise items here for 20 years. I personally prefer to walk there and use my own gym.
