Talk about getting a bad break in life that later results in getting a share of the $1.6 billion lottery payoff.
Earl Livingston was going to by a lottery ticket on Tuesday when he slipped and broke his hip.
Earl was taken to the Jefferson Stratford Hospital in New Jersey where he told the doctor and nurse that he wanted to play the lottery to see if he could win some money.
The doctor and nurse felt pity on Earl that they invited him to play in the lottery pool.
To make the pot even sweeter, Earl did not have to pay any money to play.
When the drawing was called on Tuesday night, 141 persons that played in the Mega Millions lottery pool won their share of $1 million dollars which is about $4,000 to $5,000 dollars each.
Earl will need a hip replacement. But the pain he suffered in the fall resulted in being a part of the winning lottery pool.

@Deepizzaguy Not too shabby at all. I sure wish something like that would of happened when I had to be in the hospital.

I saw that on the news, it was so cool. We don't hear news like this often enough.

A most heartwarming story. Something good came out of the bad.
