We’ve been running around like nuts since Friday. My husband is happily relaxing in front of the TV, watching football.
So I don’t bore you to death, in a nutshell, we met our son, his wife, and the grandkids in NYC to participate in Halloween festivities.
We drove back to New York to the airport on Saturday. Our younger son and his bride flew to Belize for some R&R to snorkel, soak up the sun, and relax after the tough time of losing Kuma, his cat. On the way home, we snuck back to NYC without telling our older son, for ME shopping on Fifth Avenue. I believe I bought out all the clothes, handbags, shoes, and jewelry New York City has to offer. We also had dinner at The Palm.
But the most unbelievable happened. We forgot to check our mail on both Friday and Saturday, so after tennis and brunch at our club this morning, my husband opened our mailbox. In it was a check from our state. Apparently, they owed us $29,000+. Who knew? We decided to split it with our kids. Won’t they be surprised!,,,,

Oh,. unexpected wealth , when you are already wealthy.
That's good that you split it with your kids. You already have a lot of them anyway.
By the way, look at your grandaugher. She's like a lady already in sitting - crossed legs.
So like the grandmother,

They say the rich get richer, but that's not us! . The kids could use the extra money. I just looked at my granddaughter and now see that her legs are crossed. . I only noticed her Halloween leggings before. She is growing up too fast!!!!

We couldn't believe that check!!!! We had a wonderful time seeing our little babies and son and his wife. I will only get to see them once more before we go to Florida. I'm thrilled she took time off from work to go to Belize, especially after going to Vancouver for their first anniversary last month, but she knew my son needed to get away from here. He's still so upset about Kuma.

Wow, what a nice surprise! I wonder if my province (state) will remember how much they owe me?

That is a good amount. Congratulations!!
You seem to have had a great time with your family and grand kids and the best part would have been all that grand shopping. They look adorable in that picture.

I don't think my entire family has seen that amount at any one time.
