I cannot remember when I watched a program and one of them was featuring a Nurse from New York whose sole work was to look after newborn babies whose Mom´s had got substance abuse problems. Tears streamed down my face it was one of the most moving things I had ever seen. The cries of these babies are not normal cries they are shrieking at the top of their heads. She picked each one up and they were from all over the world. She spoke loving words to them and rocked them with love. There was no reproach at all only much much love. You have to be strong to nurse and care for such babies. I felt she was very very strong and very capable as the babies almost always calmed down in a short time. She said they needed to feel wanted not to be brought down.
