Diary Saturday 27th October 2018
A quiet weekend, where I chased after a few pub sign images in the city and did a little shopping.
Diary Sunday 28th October 2018
Sleep, watch TV, more sleep, going online, more TV.
Diary Monday 29th October 2018
The welfare people revealed online how much money I am to expect in my first payment under the new Universal Credit system (expected to be paid on Wednesday). To my despair I am to get £45.70 less per month than under the old system.
I phoned them to ask why and faced evasiveness and a demand that I compensate myself for the shortfall by contacting the housing department of the council, my second dealings with them in four days. I was told to complete an application form for a special fund that they can reject my application to at their discretion but I got no further help or advice than that
I watched the Government Chancellor's Budget (Bodge it) later in the day, promising improved prosperity and that Austerity (cutbacks) measures are over. They are far from over and my experiences today prove it.
Sickening to face such financial reduction with just two welfare payments to go before Christmas.

More proof that the whole world, not just the US, needs to be cleaned up.

@arthurchappell Well, we have Bernie but he's really outnumbered. We also have some good candidates running right now but will they win?

@xander6464 I think the Dems will do well in the mid-terms. I really like Bernie

Appalling. Have you at least got Royal Mail work lined up this year?
