Flip-flops are everywhere now. And there are many that are very inexpensive, and you buy them, wear them once and throw them in a waste basket before going to a drugstore to get some band aids for your sore feet.
That does not happen with the wonderful Brazilian Havaianas the wonderful flip-flops that appeared on the market in 1962. Such a long time has passed!
I was 17 and in my last year of school. Against my motherĀ“s wishes, I took up the hem of my dress before going out. It was the time of the minis. And the time of the beautiful and comfortable flip-flops in summer.
I could raise then my feet to the wash basin and rinse them with cold water. The Earth was new and I was full of ideals.
Everything got older with time. I thank my old eyes for not letting me see my wrinkles. My feet are so far from my hands that I have to have a pedicure once in a while. I cannot cut my toe nails. But the havaianas as are as good as ever. I bought some for me and my daughters when I went to Brazil some months ago. They thanked me from the bottom of their hearts.

@LadyDuck I wear good leather shoes during winter but would be happy barefooted in summer at home

My feet are happy with them. But, as with shoes, I only wear the best ones.

@marguicha I only wear good leather shoes, the flip flops are very well known to cause joints pain if you wear them for long time and for many years.

I just found a marvelous pedicure lady. And she comes to my house. I agree that pedicures have to do with age

Not a fan of flipflops because I am a klutz, but they sure are pretty!

I learned to use them very early in my life. But some people never do.

it is one of my favorite brand of slippers, but here in my country it is expensive. and one thing i dont like about that slippers is it easily change style and phased out some of my favorite designs.
