Are you happy with your bank?

I have to admit that I'm pretty happy with my bank, which is good old Bank of America. I do most of my banking on-line, and have rarely been charged "mystery charges" that I have to correct. When my credit card "went bad" (the strip and chip died), I called the listed 800 number and had a new card withing six days. My conservative "money market" account makes a decent amount of interest, and appears to be working as it should. Are you happy with your bank overall?

@playertwo Nobody objects to interest rate hikes if they have some money in "cash."

I use a local bank. They treat me pretty well. I am the multi-millionaire in town and so they give me some special treatment. I own 2/3 of the bank as well, so they HAVE to give me SOME special consideration. So far so good.

@andriaperry Um, not in stock brokers and such like! I don't need much "stuff," so I'd rather protect what I have. Even my (bright) idol, Mark Twain, sucked at investing.

Are interest rates going up in India? They are here.

@TheHorse No.. They don't.. But the interest rates are higher on fixed deposits and recurring deposits.. But that's also unreasonable because they charge taxes after a certain amount..

I had a credit union in Indiana. I can't even remember exactly how they're different from regular banks.

Happy you found a good one. I am a little upset with Wells Fargo, apparently they got rid of their change counting machines - chain wide. You're a bank, you deal with money. Duh. Other than that they are fine though

Mine is a debit card and the only bank I have left. something I can't let go.

Do not love your bank. The bank only loves your money. They invest it in stocks and then earn a lot and give only a fraction of the money back to you. I invest most of my money into liquid funds, stocks or mutual funds and make 4 times my investment. I only maintain the minimum required balance. That saves me from the penalties.
