Ready or not Halloween is here, for those who celebrate. As I have said before, I believe it is mainly for the children. They just want the candy. And the costumes are always fun. I remember growing up when it was safe, we would go house to house for homemade foods and candy. And we went on hayrides as well. So much fun and happy times. I remember bobbing for apples. So much fun. Things have gotten so crazy these days in the world, it is not safe for kids to go to every house and get candy. Drugs are put in the candy. Crazy. Such evil in the world. So I am glad most of the kids now go their own parties at home, church or school. Brendel and the Dude says Happy Halloween. They will also be staying in tonight. For those celebrating, do you have a childhood memory of Halloween?

I remember trick or treating as a kid...it was always fun. Going door to door...that was always the best. I am glad now they do trunk or treating in a lot of places. I wish ours wasn't cancelled this year. Oh well, will take Eli to a few places though. Well happy Halloween to them as well, great photo!

Dude and Brendel look great! I remember the church Halloween costume party that we used to go to. We'd have so much fun playing so many different games, bobbing for apples and lots of other fun things. When our son was about 12 he decided he'd rather a party then going out. My husband and I tied little cinnamon donuts on strings and hung them from the suspended ceiling in our basement. We had the children sit on chairs that we had in a row, and they had to sit on their hands, and the first one who ate all of their donut won. We had pumpkins and the kids played ring toss, and we played some other games. Our son was reminded of how much fun they all had recently by a friend who attended-of course that was 17 years ago.

When I was growing up, my Mom was against all those masks and costumes. So, we never did it.

I remember the hayrides too!!! So much fun!! A party at home can be so much fun too!!! Not to focus on something bad but I remember one time someone put a razor in an apple!!! We were scared after that!! And felt the need to check the candy before we ate it!! Absolutely no fruit!!!
